The most direct route isEdgemoor Road (TN-170)heading northeast out of Oak Ridge. It crosses the Clinch River and meetsClinton Highway (US-25W)near Claxton; from there you turn right and follow Clinton Highway south a few miles to 5441, just before the I-75 interchange. That path keeps you off the interstate almost the whole way and typically takes about 20 minutes.

If you're coming from the west or south side of the city, the alternative is theOak Ridge Turnpike (TN-95) to Pellissippi Parkway (I-140), then I-75 northto the Merchants Drive / Clinton Highway area. It's a couple of miles longer but all four-lane. Either way the venue sits on the north end of Knoxville, so you never have to cross downtown.

Much of Oak Ridge's original housing stock dates to the 1940s Manhattan Project era — the cemesto flat-tops and the alphabet-house designs, plus the ranches that filled in through the 1950s and 60s. These homes were built to last, but eighty years on they share the same to-do list: original single-pane or steel casement windows that leak heat, thin wall insulation, dated kitchens, and small mid-century bathrooms.

That makes the show genuinely useful rather than generic. Talk with window and door installers who understand the odd rough openings in older Oak Ridge homes, and with remodelers who've opened up cramped galley kitchens without blowing out the footprint. Bring photos and rough measurements of the room you want to change — most exhibitors will give you a ballpark on the spot.

Oak Ridge sits inUSDA zone 7a, the same as the venue, so anything you see demonstrated at the show will work in your yard. The city's mature, wooded lots mean a lot of local questions are about shade planting, controlling erosion on sloped Anderson County properties, and keeping deer out of vegetable beds along the greenbelt edges. Several outdoor-living and hardscape exhibitors set up displays you can walk through, which beats guessing from a catalog.
